Now, this being their second baby and second girl, a traditional baby shower wasn't in order. Still, I'm a believer that every baby should be celebrated. After all, just because Mom and Dad already have a stroller and a playpen doesn't make the new occupant any less of a miracle and blessing.
That's why I love the concept of baby "sprinkles". Have you heard of these? They're simply a lighter version of a shower....hence the name sprinkle. Get it? ;)
For Robbie and Jessa's baby sprinkle, I took my inspiration from the occasion itself. Because there's pretty much nothing more festive and cute than sprinkles, right?
So, I found an 8 lb. box of sprinkles at a local bake shop and went crazy.
First, some sprinkle covered-letters and some flowers in sprinkles.

Next, I made a cute popsicle stick runner (inspiration here) with paint splatters in blue, pink, and green. I love how it turned out all sprinkled in color! :) To top it, I painted wine and beer bottles (because nothing says baby like alcohol, yeah?) and then dipped them in....you guessed it - more sprinkles!
To keep with the sprinkle theme, we set up a gift table with a banner that read "Sprinkled With Love".
On the gift table, I added a well-wishing station where guests could leave notes of love and encouragement to the growing family.
For food, Jessa's mother made an amazing buffet of appetizers - including a mashed potato bar. It was delish! Here's the future big sister dancing by the yumminess.
And, for dessert, a DIY cupcake bar! So fun and so yum!
The cupcakes were a hit.
I also made rice krispie treats piled with sprinkles. Because one can never have too many. :)
To wash all that sugar down, we needed milk. In milk bottles. With sprinkles!
I just dipped the bottles in melted white chocolate and then in sprinkles. They were pretty popular with the kiddos.
It was a fun day for a very special couple. We can't wait to meet the latest addition to their adorable family!

Great photos and a beautiful and wonderful party, Jennie! Love these photos. You are so talented.
